These terms govern your use of Derm.com (“Derm”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you sign up on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for your credentials and any activity under your account.
- One person per account. Sharing logins is not allowed.
- Notify us at security@derm.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. Creator pages
Creators may publish a public page showcasing personal product recommendations and routines. By publishing, you confirm that:
- Recommendations reflect your honest opinion.
- You do not claim a product diagnoses, treats, or cures a medical condition.
- You disclose material relationships including sponsorships, gifts, and affiliate compensation, in line with applicable advertising law.
- You do not impersonate a licensed professional or use credentials you do not hold.
4. Commerce and affiliate links
Buy buttons route through our tracked redirect endpoint and may include affiliate parameters. Derm may earn a commission on completed purchases. Pricing, availability, and order fulfillment are the responsibility of the merchant. Derm is not the seller of record. Order, shipping, return, and warranty questions should be directed to the merchant.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you upload, including bios, routines, notes, and images. You grant Derm a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content solely to operate, promote, and improve the service. You can withdraw the license by removing the content or your account.
6. Prohibited use
- Diagnostic claims or anything that could be construed as medical advice.
- Misleading, fake, or undisclosed paid content.
- Scraping at scale, abuse of the API, attempts to compromise the service.
- Content that is unlawful, infringing, harassing, or otherwise harmful.
7. Verified status
A verified badge means Derm has confirmed publicly verifiable credentials. It does not endorse any specific medical or scientific claim. We may revoke the badge if credentials lapse or are misrepresented.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend or remove accounts, pages, or content that violate these terms or pose a safety risk, with reasonable notice when practical.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. Skincare is individual. See our Disclaimer for the medical context.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Derm is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Derm in the 12 months preceding the claim, or 100 USD.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction where Derm is incorporated. Disputes are first attempted in good faith negotiation. Unresolved disputes go to the competent courts of that jurisdiction unless local law gives you a non-waivable consumer right to your local courts.
12. Changes
We may revise these terms. Material changes are posted here and announced to active accounts at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new version.
